Addressing the Undiagnosed Area of Imbalance in Vestibular Disorders

When your vestibular system, or inner ear, is malfunctioning because of age, injury, or illness, it can often lead to dizziness, blurred vision, and headaches.

Vestibular Diagnostic Goggles are used to assist our team in the assessment of your vertigo, dizziness, and feelings of imbalance.

REBALANCE
Treatment Areas

Our REBALANCE team identifies and treats acute and chronic problems due to:

Vestibular hypofunction/dysfunction

When the inner ear’s balance system malfunctions, causing dizziness, blurred vision, and unsteadiness that increase fall risk.

Blurred Vision

Includes struggling to focus on an object, perceiving that objects are shifting from one direction to another or moving around you (vertigo), a jiggling or bouncing visual field, or double vision.

Migraines with headaches

The most widespread neurological disorder that impacts roughly 1 in 7 Americans every year, typically marked by moderate to severe recurring headaches that may be accompanied by dizziness, unsteadiness, or vertigo.

Balance issues

Occurring when your body systems aren’t functioning properly, resulting in dizziness, unsteadiness, or feeling like the room is spinning.

Cervicogenic dizziness (neck-related dizziness)

A syndrome of neck pain accompanied by dizziness, often due to whiplash or other neck injuries.

Dizziness

A common incident that feels like a variation of sensations, including weakness, unsteadiness, lightheadedness, faintness, or like you or the room is spinning.

Falls

3 million people over 65 years old are treated in the ER for fall related injuries. Addressing regular occurrences of falls is important for reducing the risk of injury.

Positional vertigo (BPPV)

A common occurring inner ear disorder that can make you feel like the room is spinning when you’re in certain positions.

Vertigo

A sense of dizziness or unsteadiness that is a symptom, not a diagnosis. Possible causes include inner ear problems, brain complications, specific medications, dehydration, anxiety, and more.

Concussions or persistent concussions (lasting over 2 weeks

When the brain jolts or moves rapidly within the skull, it causes a form of traumatic brain injury, leading to vision changes, headaches, dizziness, neck pain, exercise intolerance, and balance issues.
