Can physical therapy help with lower back pain?

that may include strengthening, mobility exercises, manual therapy, posture education,
and movement training to help you feel and move better.
Can PT help me avoid knee replacement surgery?
In many cases, yes. Physical therapy can help reduce pain, improve strength and
mobility, and increase joint stability, which may delay or even help avoid surgery. Our

hands-on techniques to relieve pain and improve function.
What's the difference between a physical therapist and a chiropractor?
In many cases, you can see a physical therapist first without needing a physician
referral, thanks to Direct Access in Pennsylvania. A physical therapist can evaluate your
condition and determine whether conservative treatment is appropriate or if you should
be referred to an orthopedic specialist for additional evaluation.
How do I know if I need physical therapy?
You may benefit from physical therapy if you’re experiencing pain, stiffness,
weakness, balance issues, difficulty moving, recovering from surgery or injury, or if your
symptoms are limiting your daily activities or exercise routine. Our therapists can
evaluate your condition and help determine the best plan for recovery. If you’re not
sure, you can schedule a Discovery session with one of our PTs who can help you
figure out if PT is warranted.
